Course Architecture & Key Student Projects

AP Business with Personal Finance is an introductory, college-level course integrating entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting, management, and strategy alongside all National Standards for Personal Financial Education (Council for Economic Education & Jump$tart Coalition).

Course Project 1

Business Canvas Project

Students perform authentic founder tasks using a modified Business Model Canvas (Strategyzer)—including product development, customer research, marketing strategy, and financial document preparation.

Course Project 2 (Culminating)

Financial Advisor Project

Students act as professional financial advisors for a fictional household profile, constructing personalized budgeting, postsecondary funding, home buying, retirement, and charitable giving recommendations.
