Registration

  • All educator participants should use this registration to submit your deposit for this professional development opportunity. The $25 deposit will be refunded in full if you attend the Michigan Personal Finance Institute August 7 & 8, 2023.

    The purpose of collecting the deposit is so we don't have empty seats on the day of the event when there are other teachers who would like to attend.
  • Educator participants who were invited by their local credit union should use this registration and special code provided by your credit union representative to submit your deposit for this professional development opportunity. The $25 deposit will be refunded in full if you attend the Michigan Personal Finance Institute August 7 & 8, 2023.

$200 STIPEND


This event will prepare you with content and pedagogy to teach Personal Finance in a high school setting. Show everyone you are prepared to teach the new Michigan graduation guaranteed course!
All educators who complete the Personal Finance Institute will receive a $200 check. This opportunity is limited to the first 50 teachers who register.
In order to ensure all who register attend the Institute, we will be collecting a $25 deposit to hold your spot. This deposit will be refunded in full when you attend the Institute. You must cancel at least 7 days prior to the event in order to receive a refund of your deposit.

  • Attend the entirety of both days of the Institute.

Monday, August 7 8:30am-4pm (Breakfast & Lunch provided)
Spend the day with industry professionals to learn the content you will be teaching to students in a Personal Finance class. 
Tuesday, August 8 8:30am-4pm (Breakfast & Lunch provided)
NGPF FinCamp will focus on equipping you with the pedagogical tools to successfully teach a Personal Finance course.

    We will have industry professionals and expert teachers to help you become a master Personal Finance educator. 

    Topics to be covered:

    • Financial Mindset
    • Education and Employment
    • Money Management
    • Saving and Investing
    • Credit and Debt
    • Risk Management and Insurance

    All attendees will have the option of taking the W!se PERSONAL FINANCE CERTIFICATION FOR EDUCATORS, a bona fide credential that demonstrates proficiency to teach personal finance, at a later date for no financial cost. To learn more about the topics on the W!se Personal Finance Certification Test, you can examine the manual here.

    If you live farther than 60 miles from the Federal Reserve Bank in Detroit a $250 hotel subsidy is available.
